Rays Hotel - Bakirkoy Istanbul City Center

Almost nothing.

It’s 10-12 sq m, not 38 as it showed before booking. I chose this property in order to stay in wider rooms even though it was far away from center. But it turned out to be tiny room with late and room served breakfast. Broken AC, small window in the corner of the room. DOES NOT WORHT FOR IT PRICE AT ALL! Be careful!

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Supine, Mert, Abdallah and iyka( not sure the name is correct) all of them were very nice. The hotel is very nice , very clean, and great location. I recommend it

Super location for travelling by IST airport (direct bus HAV-4 about 1 hour). Metro station in 5 minutes walk, working until 00:00. Variety of restaurants and clothes shops around.

There were lack of safe and wifi. And a little smell of renovation. I think it will gone soon

There is nothing to like

First night they gave me a room with broken toilet they forced me stay in that room second night they changed the room but new room was worse than the first room. There is no person to talk there ara kids at the reception no adults.

Very polite and helpful staff. Good location,spacious rooms.

The hotel is near the port and the shops

The room was dirty the moment we got there, it was not cleaned before our arrival. I hope at least the bed sheets were clean! There was a hole in the window frame, I told the staff on the reception desk and they didn’t seem to bother, we had to tuck towels so we don’t freeze. The AC wasn’t working, the staff (a 15-16 year old boy) came, saw it and left.For 3 days nobody came to clean the room, change the towels, take the trash out, change the sheets. The breakfast is in your room (you may eat at your bed), as there is no separate room/ restaurant for breakfast.The paring is in front of the hotel but it’s not free, we paid 300lira a day. The bathroom was dirty, even gross.

Thank you for everything. I would like to thank the staff who took care of us from the moment we entered the hotel until we left. They were both cheerful and the rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was complete. Thank you Mr. Cesim for taking care of us.

The hotel was in a good location, close to shopping centers, marina, beach and easy transportation.The staff was friendly and understanding, I will stay again next time I come

Breakfast was included, however each time I used to go down to ask for breakfast. Then it arrives late, no early than 8:30. If you leave early, your breakfast is lost.

Requested room clean up, but no one cleaned during the four nights. Fan was not working. No change to whites, towels etc.

The amazing behaviour of the whole staff and their warmness was great The hotel is located at an amazing place near to the market and major bus stops plus Bakirkoy Fairy Terminal is also within walking distance. The hotel also has a lift working 24 hours. I would say with this price it was an amazing value. The guys helped me to secure my luggage at the hotel free of cost for two days. I would Definitely recommend it..

Nothing to say..

The location was great it was in the town centre with all of the shopping centres. At first i didn’t like my room but Yousef the hotel staff changed it for me immediately. He is very friendly and kind.

Everything was perfect. Room cleaning was very good. The employees are smiling and helpful. Thank you very much for your nice attention.

location of the hotel so nice and no need for transportation facilities to reach to vital and important places and the workers there so helpful and take care of all details and they understood English especially one called Ziya so good person and make us shy from his generosity

The hotel is clean, quite, and well-positioned 3 minutes walk from Bakirkoy Square and metro station. Many good restaurants and shops around. The staff were particularly helpful with check-in despite being late due to flight delay, they also helped with information and directions.

Bad

This was the worst feeling ever. We first wrote to the hotel (Rays) and asked them about the shuttle and early accommodation. The shuttle was arranged but as soon as we arrived in the hotel at 6 am the person who worked there was very impolite. He did not care about it although we were with two kids, one 6 and the other one just 3 months. Morever, we wrote them prior that we should be accommodated as soon as we arrive for the above-mentioned reasons (little kids) He constantly replied that we shouldn't get inside the room until 2 pm. Afterwards we asked for the manager but he continued being rude saying that he is also the manager of that day!!!So to conclude with and make the matter even worse we did not stay at the hotel any longer because at lobby everything was filthy. Then we were obliged to walk away, in a completely new city for us with little kids!! Thankfully the hotel staff nearby were very polite and professional. We immediately got accommodated and were respected highly during our stay. Very grateful.Therefore we did not stay at Rays hotel but the money until now was not refunded yet.
